Annex the Nex desktop app

Nex on your machine.

Annex runs your Nex agents right on your computer — so they can work in the apps, files, and browser you already use, and send what they learn back to your Nex graph, when you choose to.

The web, your files and scripts feed into Annex on your machine; your machine feeds up into your Nex graph THE WEB YOUR FILES SCRIPTS YOUR NEX GRAPH YOUR MACHINE

What Annex does

Acts on your computer

Nex drives your browser and desktop apps to actually do the work — filling forms, moving data, following a task end to end.

Turns local work into shared context

What Nex reads and does on your machine can flow into your Nex graph once you send it, so the rest of your team and agents pick up where it left off.

You approve the moves that matter

A co-sign gate holds every sensitive action until you say yes. Nothing important happens behind your back.

Local-first and private by default

Annex runs in a locked-down sandbox and keeps its logs on your machine. Only what you allow is ever sent to Nex cloud.

Bring your own model

Annex is the runtime, not the model. Point it at an AI agent you already run — your key stays in your operating system's keychain, never on our servers. Connect one of these and you're set:

Codex
OpenAI's coding agent, in your terminal
Claude Code
Anthropic's agent, in your terminal
